I am very pleased to welcome you to Wychwood Primary School. We are a large, thriving, rural primary school at the heart of the Shipton and Milton under Wychwood villages serving pupils from these communities and the surrounding areas. We have around 300 pupils in 11 classes that are organised into Early Years, Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2 departments. Each department is ably led by a member of the Senior Management Team. We offer an exciting and inspiring curriculum that stimulates and engages our pupils. We supplement the curriculum with educational trips, visitors to the school and termly curricular themed weeks. Specialist teachers visit the school to offer instrumental lessons and sports coaching. We have a full and varied after school programme of activities. For example we have French, football, judo, computer, drama, cookery, art, choir and general sports clubs on offer. Before and after school care is provided on the school premises by CAWS. We have strong links with the local community, including the local churches and the tennis club. We participate in the sporting and artistic opportunities that are offered by the Burford partnership of schools.
